In a recently published patent application, Apple applied for an “Electronic device with wrap around display.” According to the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office documents, the body of the phone would be made out of glass,”transparent housing” and the display would unroll, around the device to reveal more items, “flexible display”. Users would use gestures and possibly eye movement to interact with the smartphone instead of using actual buttons.
