I saw this earlier today on SportsCenter so I made sure it find it online and share with you. It was on their top 10 plays (I think it was number 2) and it’s dope.
5’10″ baller by the name of Sir Isaac shut down the 4th annual Houston Rockets Blacktop Battle Dunk Contest … not one person left disappointed. Check out more details and the video after the jump…
Via BallIsLife:
The majority of the contestants were “average dunkers” that had a nice windmill or 360 here and there but the two best Jay “Got Bounce” Brown and Sir Isaac had security earning their paycheck as the crowd kept wanting to rush the court. Jay’s a newcomer to the dunk game but threw down dunks off one foot as well as some of best 1 foot dunkers in the world like Guy Dupuy and Werm. His between both legs dunk had some worried that Sir Isaac wouldn’t be taking home his 4th straight Blacktop trophy. That worry only lasted for a few minutes until the 5’10″ royal dunker started throwing down dunks with height and power rarely seen in leapers under 6 foot…or any height, anywhere including in the NBA.
NBA players Patrick Beverly and Thomas Robinson were guest judges and from their reactions, it was obvious they had no idea who Isaac was and that they aren’t used to seeing hops like this – maybe they have just been watching too many NBA dunk contests.
