According to MetroStore Scanner, Microsoft’s Windows Store has reached over 50,000 apps. The current total of apps available is 50,304. March has been a great month for the Windows Store with an average of 279 apps being developed each day. This increase could have something to do with the contest Microsoft is doing which offers developers $100 per app they develop for Windows 8 and a 80% split for money generated by their app, more than what Apple offers its developers.
