While most of us were totally in LOVE with Beyonce’s Super Bowl halftime performance, others were UPSET and it’s not just PETA. They were so upset they let the FCC have it, with a barrage of complaints. Beyonce isn’t the first to upset the audience with her halftime performance, M.I.A ticked people off when she gave the camera her middle finger and everyone remembers the infamous Janet Jackson and Justin Timberlake performance that displayed Janet’s pierced nipple for the world to see. I looked over the complaints about Bey and they’re pretty harsh. Check them out after the jump.
They said Beyonce was dressed like and danced like a stripper, was gyrating her vagina and that they didn’t want their children to learn how to love sluts, WOW! A few of the complaints are in the gallery above. The rest can be seen in the PDF below including the demographic of each complaint.
According to Deadspin:
An estimated 108.7 million people tuned in to watch the Ravens beat the 49ers. According to Arthur Scrutchins of the Federal Communications Commission, which handles viewer complaints, the FCC received “thousands of letters.” The vast majority of those, however, were part of an organized letter-writing campaign. Outraged by Flacco’s profanity being picked up on the broadcast, the Parents Television Council, a conservative advocacy group, urged its followers to complain.
We did not receive those, because they are essentially identical form letters. But we do have 48 individual complaints from Americans frustrated with, by and large, the sexualized commercials and the sexualized Beyoncé.
