The Miami Hurricanes faced off against the UNC Tarheels earlier this afternoon and battled for the ACC crown. The game was indeed a goodie as they not only traded buckets but fought hard on defense. The Hurricanes were led by point guard Shane Larkin and the Tarheels were led by combo guard/forward P.J. Hairston.
Hairston showed great leadership and determination for the Tarheels by playing a spectacular game with a bandaged hand. The cut to his hand required eight stitches but Hairston still produced, dropping 28 points in the Tarheels loss to Miami.
The star of the show was Larkin who scored a career-high 28 points, eight coming in the final 2 1/2 minutes, 7 assists, 5 rebounds and 2 steals; earning himself the Most Outstanding Player Award.
