The Warriors mollywhopped my Knicks last night 92-63. SMH. J.R. Smith scored nine points before he was ejected in the third quarter for a flagrant 2 foul on Harrison Barnes. It seemed more like a flagrant 1 to me. Check it out & let us know what you think…
Via SI.com:
With 6:50 remaining in the third quarter and the Warriors leading 64-40, Smith brought both of his arms down across Barnes’ upper body as he attempted to prevent a driving shot attempt. Smith appeared to make contact with Barnes’ face and left arm during the follow through.
The flagrant foul 2 designation applies to fouls that are deemed both “unnecessary and excessive.” All flagrant fouls are reviewed by the NBA league office and are subject to possible discipline including a fine and/or suspension.
