There were prior reports that the Milwaukee Bucks weren’t making any offers to point guard Brandon Jennings. In fact his name was mentioned in a couple of trade scenarios. However it turns out the Bucks do want to retain Jennings but he has some demands of his own. Read more after the jump.
Jennings considers Milwaukee a “great sports town” and has enjoyed his time there, but in order to keep him long term, Jennings said the Bucks’ offer must be lucrative and there needs to be changes in the roster and the organization to make it championship caliber.
He turned down a four-year, $40 million deal prior to this season, a source told Yahoo!
Jennings will become a restricted free agent at the end of the season which means the Bucks can match any offer he gets. Jennings is sure to hear offers but my guess is they won’t be ridiculous over the top offers. While he is a good point, he isn’t exactly elite and he can shoot you out of the game just as fast as he shoots you in. He’s currently averaging 18.4 points, 6.6 assists and 3.3 rebounds per game.
