Politicians these days! You would think that being in the public eye often enough a lawmaker would know what not to say. During a state committee hearing, a 17-year old Connecticut student was trying to state her case about why the Connecticut Science Center should keep running, saying it had helped her overcome her shyness and fear of snakes. Ernest Hewett’s response was “If you’re bashful, I have a snake sitting under my desk right here.” LOL he needs a reality check! And the state is giving it to him–his title as deputy speaker has been taken away and the Connecticut State Republicans are asking for him to resign.
