Rolls Royce is definitely embarassed by this one. Since when do you hear of a super luxury brand having to do a recall. But, just to show you how exclusive owning a Rolls Royce really is, the recall will only affect 27 cars here in the U.S. Yes, only 27 cars. That is because only 27 have been sold in the U.S. for the timeframe of the recall, which covers Rolls Royce Phantoms made between November 2, 2012 through January of this year. It has to do with a missing component connected to the fuel tank. Anti-misfueling parts prevent misfueling and discharge static electricity. When I say misfueling, I don’t mean accidently putting 87 in a tank that is supposed to only get 93. I mean the actual fuel when it goes into the car doesn’t go down the fuel neck the right way. Owners have been notified to take the car to a dealership for a free fix.
