The 6-foot-9 big man grabs a rebound, goes coast-to-coast at Tyus Edney speed and showcases the leaping ability that made him one of the nation’s best high jumpers at the time, leaping over a ducking defender to convert a layup. It’s a play that would leave just as many mouths agape now as it did 57 years ago.
