Chris Paul and the Clippers wanted to get Kevin Garnett bad! They know they have some holes in their team and KG would of been a big help to fill those holes. Even though they wanted him, it never seemed like KG wanted to go there. Even though Chris Paul personally tried to talk him into it. See more about it after the jump.

Chris Paul personally told KG, that if he wanted to be a Clipper, he would “make it happen”. But even with that personal invite, it didn’t move Garnett. He told Paul he “will retire a Celtic and be buried in green”. I like the loyalty. In my opinion neither team is a serious threat to win the title. Even though people love to watch the Clippers play with their highlight dunks and everything, in the playoffs, I just don’t see them being able to do much. That also goes for Boston. But either way I am sure Celtics fans love KG even more today.
