An incident occurred about a month ago resulting in the stabbing of a friend connected to Tennessee Titans wide receiver Kenny Britt. Since then someone has been arrested for the incident and the police believe Britt can assist in the investigation but he refuses to do so. Read more after the jump.
“Mr. Britt has ignored our request for a meeting to discuss additional questions the JCPD has pertaining to the investigation,’’ Police Captain Edgar Martinez said.
According to Britt’s attorney, Britt is not a suspect in either the stabbing or a shooting that took place in the same area later on the same night. But after police arrested a man for the stabbing of Britt’s friend 10 days ago, they said they believed Britt could help with the ongoing investigation. That is apparently help Britt is unwilling to provide.
Given Britt’s history with the police and the New Jersey area he grew up in, I’m not surprised by his unwillingness to cooperate with the investigation. I do hope however that he is able to get back on track because his run-ins with the law and behavior is ruining what could be an extremely successful career considering his talent.
