I’m going to be honest, when Kelly Clarkson went to receive her award at the Grammys I was taken aback for about ONE second in connection to her comment about Miguel. I think the word “HELL” is what maybe the problem here. Do you know how many artists would say that they don’t know who Kelly Clarkson is?
Wale was not feeling her comment and he was not afraid to express his viewpoint to MTV. Drop down bottom to read what he had to say.

Kelly Clarkson says:
“Miguel, I don’t know who the hell you are, but we need to sing together. I mean, good God. That was the sexiest damn thing I’ve ever seen.”

Wale Responds:
“I didn’t like the Kelly Clarkson back-handed comments to Miguel. I didn’t like that at all. I just feel like our urban music is belittled, a little bit. Not trying to offend nobody on the committee, but for a record as big as ‘Adorn,’ and it to not be presented as a real performance onstage; it was almost like a segue to an award. Again, I don’t want to offend anybody on the committee, but that wasn’t a very good representation of our music because ‘Adorn’ is gonna be around for the next 30 years.”

Seems like Wale is blaming her lack of knowledge on (despite the fact that he continuously doesn’t want to blame the committee) the Grammy reps.
I don’t see anything wrong with it and neither does Miguel apparently since him and Kelly met after the show ended – took a photo together too. What are your thoughts?
