It’s been 600 years since a Pope has resigned and I’m sure that Catholics everywhere are going insane. The end of February is when his royalness will give up his throne. The Vatican has released a statement from Pope Benedict XVI himself stating, “After having repeatedly examined my conscience before God, I have come to the certainty that my strengths, due to an advanced age, are no longer suited to an adequate exercise of the Petrine ministry.”
Who will be next? A Vatican spokesperson said that, The Pope “will not take part in conclave” in picking the next up. Everyone is hoping, however that someone would have taken the thrown by March 14th, which is the beginning of their “Holy Week”.
