The Queen has been around for a very long time now. She’s ventured into a lot of projects, since her female MC days. Now, Queen Latifah has snatched up a multi-year licensing agreement with Netflix. Latifah and co-owner, Shakim Compere agreed on this deal, because of their production company, Flavor Unit Entertainment. Starting in Spring on 2013, Netflix will have first dibs on all of the companies titles.
“Shakim and I are thrilled to do business with Netflix,” Queen Latifah said in a statement. “Netflix is such a strong brand and the perfect place to showcase our projects.”
“We are delighted to work with Queen Latifah to be the exclusive destination for what are sure to be relevant, entertaining movies,” said Chief Content Officer of Netflix Ted Sarandos.
