The Boston Celtics beat the Miami Heat today 100-98 in a riveting double overtime match. Earlier in the game we found out that the Celtics star point guard Rajon Rondo suffered a torn ACL and would be out for the rest of the season. There was some disconnect between the media as we were told that the team was aware of Rondo’s condition. Well it turns out only the coaching staff knew and the players weren’t aware yet. After the win Doris Burke asks Paul Pierce how they’ll move on with this loss and by his reaction you can tell he’s finding out about it for the first time. Check it out after the jump.
Whether he knew or not, Pierce played great in Rondo’s absence and in true Rondo fashion he put up a spectacular triple-double, with 17 points, 13 rebounds and 10 assists.
