The Lakers have a few issues contributing to their 18-25 record but one of them is lack of depth at the point guard position. They were without both Steve Nash and Steve Blake for much of the season. Nash has since come back and provided some help and now it appears Blake is ready to return as well. Read more after the jump.
Blake broke the news himself via twitter:
Tuesday the Lakers will host the New Orleans Hornets (Pelicans). Blake has been sidelined since Nov. 11 with an abdominal strain that required surgery, followed by dealing with pain in his groin that required special plasma and cortisone shots to the area to relieve the discomfort. Blake has played in only seven of his team’s games this season, while averaging 5.1 points, 2.4 rebounds, and 3.4 assists in 26 minutes per contest.
