Rondo showed up for the Celtics home game against the Miami Heat today but did not play and instead was taken to New England Baptist hospital to have an MRI done on his nagging knee injury. Rumors swirled around social media that it might be his ACL and tests confirmed it as it was announced during the Celtics game.
Rondo suffered the injury during the Celtics game against the Hawks on Friday. Rondo tweaked the knee against the Hawks, but still played nearly 45 minutes while producing a triple-double in the double-overtime loss. The loss of Rondo is a huge blow to already suffering Celtics as the point guard averaged 13.7 points and 11.1 assists per game.
