Clay, a director for strategic planning on the national security staff at the White House, and a JAG and Lieutenant in the U.S. Coast Guard, donned his full dress uniform while Kwan opted for a classy ivory Vera Wang gown as she was escorted down the aisle by her father. The couple shared the intimate moment with 240 family members, friends, and of course, fellow Olympic champions like Brian Boitano, Dick Button, Dorothy Hamill and Peter Oppegard. And Kwan’s fellow competitors weren’t the only Olympic memories—the ceremony included “Fields of Gold” as well, aka the song in which Kwan skated to back in 2002 at the end of her bronze-medal finish at the Salt Lake City Winter Games.
