Former Apple CEO John Sculley, the man who is blamed for the outing of Steve Jobs in 1985 as CEO of Apple says Apple needs to bring a cheaper version of iPhone to the market. John Sculley says the reason for Apple’s recentl slip up is that competitors such as Samsung are making cheaper devices. Scully also believes other companies like Samsung have also caught up to Apple. Should Apple start developing cheaper iPhones, maybe thats what made the iPhone the iPhone. The only problem is Apple could make cheaper Smartphones but then the iPhone then becomes less exclusive. “Apple needs to adapt to a very different world,” Sculley said. “As we go from $500 smartphones to even as low, for some companies, as $100 for a smartphone, you’ve got to dramatically rethink the supply chain and how you can make these products and do it profitably.”
