Veteran radio programmer CADILLAC JACK MCCARTNEY has been named as the Director of Programming at GREATER MEDIA BOSTON. He will officially begin his new position on MONDAY, JANUARY 7, 2013.
He most recently served as VP/Programming at CCM+E/NEW YORK, where he was responsible for Top 40 WHTZ (Z100), AC WLTW, Top 40 WKTU, Classic Rock WAXQ and Urban WWPR-FM. In his new role, he will oversee the currently stunting WTKK (96.9 FM) (NET NEWS 1/3), AC WMJX, Country WKLB, Alternative WBOS and Classic Hits WROR.
CADILLAC JACK is no stranger to the BOSTON market. He spent over 20 years working in BOSTON radio in the 1990’s and 2000’s, programming both WJMN (JAM’N 94.5) and WXKS (KISS 108), and overseeing the entire CLEAR CHANNEL/BOSTON cluster for a decade through 2010, the last 3 years of which he also programmed WWPR/NEW YORK.
