For the first time in 60 years, there will be significantly less inaugural celebrations. President Obama has announced that there will only be three balls this year and no more. Two of the three will be actual inaugural parties and concert honoring military families. Normally, there are 10 balls per inaugural celebrations. Both balls will be held on Monday, January 21 at the Washington Convention Center. The 21st is the evening of his public inauguration since his official inauguration will be on Sunday but that will not be a public one due to no inaugurations being celebrated on Sunday, according to the HuffPost.
