Driven by the maker of SlingBox, which was later picked up by EchoStar/Dish Network, the big 3 see major dollar signs at the other end of Blake Krikorian’s vision. Blake Krikorian is the CEO of startup, R2 Studios. Paired up with Crestron whole-home control systems, who has released its own clients for iPhone and iPad years ago. The technology was in its early stages at that time, and now 2 years later you can see many manufacturers hoping on board with the idea of Home control/security and other integrated automation services.
