Rumors circulated today that in the new Instagram privacy policies that Instagram was allowed to sell your pictures. Instagram instantly jumped in and made a statement. Instagram has denied that they will sell your pictures to companies. Instagram says the wording in the privacy polices were a bit confusing and got few people nervous. IG says they are in the works in rewording the policies so that they are understable and clearer to the public .
The Instagram chief says “Our intention in updating the terms was to communicate that we’d like to experiment with innovative advertising that feels appropriate on Instagram,”. The Instagram chief made sure he made his point clear today on Instagram’s blog page, he made sure he made his point twice in the blog post. I’m sure if that was the case Instagram would be losing accounts by the millions if they didn’t clear this situation up.
