Adele is facing a bit of a fine, stemming from the birth of her little one. NO, she’s not behind on hospital bills or (like Jessica Simpson) owing money back on a contract signed with a weightloss company…but she did forget to do something a little important! It’s a quick fix, though, so hopefully this “threat” will put her and her boyfriend on the ball! Details below.
After you give birth, you’re supposed to register your new child’s name with the government within 42 days. However, Adele has yet to do so, despite giving birth almost two full months ago. There’s a maximum fine of up to £1,000 (not sure how much that translates to American dollars but…it doesn’t seem like much, LOL), but nothing further can really happen. They’re likely just not registering for privacy reasons, and when they’re ready to announce the baby’s name, they’ll register. Should the fine actually be enforced, I’m sure Adele can afford it with ease.
