Mayor Michael Bloomberg said he’s not gonna okay a deal that doesn’t hold the teachers feet to the fire. He says the teachers need to be monitored and that the city will not okay an agreement that does not properly evaluate the teachers and he says the ratings must be available to the public. If they can’t get a deal done the funding will likely go to another public service like the police and fire department as well as other services.
