The people over at China love their iPhones too. On the first day it was available, a 100k iPhone 5’s were preordered. That might not seem like much but in China Apple is low on the totem pole. So far Apple this is breaking new ground. After months of negations Apple fought for approval of the device for over a month. And just last week Apple received its network license so that the device can be sold on mobile carriers . Apple is looking to gain some bigger ground in China’s booming smartphone market and with the release of the iPhone 5 they hope to get some traction, at the moment Apple only has 15% of the smartphone market.
