Today is Worlds AIDS Day which is dedicated to raising awareness about HIV/AIDS. December 1 has been recognized as Worlds AIDS Day since 1995 in hopes to make people more aware of how serious the disease is. The Empire State Building will be lit red today in honor of today when everyone is advised to ear red to honor it but more importantly to remind sexual active people to GET TESTED! Because there still is no sure cure for HIV/AIDS your best defense against the life-threatening disease is to not get it in the first place and if you do have it, finding out ASAP can make a huge difference in how fast the disease progresses!
