With the sad news of the murder/suicide that occurred this morning with Kansas City Chiefs’ linebacker Jovan Belcher, many people were unsure if the game tomorrow would be played as scheduled. After team discussions they have decided to go on with the game. Read more after the jump.
Statement from the Chiefs:
“After discussions between the league office, Head Coach Romeo Crennel and Chiefs team captains, the Chiefs advised the NFL that it will play tomorrow’s game vs. the Carolina Panthers at its originally scheduled time.”
It will be interesting to see how they handle this game after going through such a horrific tragedy. This is especially difficult for coach Romeo Crennel who was a witness to the suicide. The game is set for tomorrow at 1 pm.
