While some families are gathered to celebrate Thanksgiving together, other families are still without homes because of Hurricane Sandy. Which brings me to the email Governor Cuomo has sent out asking New Yorkers for a favor…and of course he is wishing everyone a happy Thanksgiving!… Click below to find out what he is asking for from us!
Every year, Thanksgiving is an important time for families and individuals to gather and recount the blessings of the past year and appreciate all we have been given.
This year’s Thanksgiving comes at a particularly challenging time for New York State, as residents on Long Island, in New York City, and the lower Hudson Valley are still feeling the pain and effects of Hurricane Sandy. In the spirit of Thanksgiving, I urge all New Yorkers to consider pitching in during this holiday season to help and give whatever support possible to assist families and individuals who are beginning to rebuild and recover after this devastating storm.
In difficult times, New Yorkers are always the first to lend a hand to help their neighbors, and it is this spirit of generosity and kindness that keeps our state strong and united. I wish all New Yorkers a happy and blessed Thanksgiving.
So all you New Yorker’s out there, if you can help, please do! I know I will!..and if your not sure how to help, check this link out Gov Cuomo .
