Displays on the new devices will be made of a limber polymer plastic instead of glass, so they can flex, bend and withstand blows and drops that would crack screens on other phones.
The new phones and tablets are expected to be released in the first half of next year, sources told The Wall Street Journal.
Its not known how much the phones will cost or how much Samsung was spending to develop them.
