Rudy Gay is not only having success on the court with his Memphis Grizzlies, he’s also taking the next step in his love life. Gay announced his engagement to girlfriend Ecko Wray. Read more after the jump.
Congratulations are in order for Grizzlies forward Rudy Gay and longtime girlfriend Ecko Wray. The couple became engaged late last month and Rudy has since revealed how making that move has contributed to an overall maturity in himself and his game this season:
“It’s time for me to take control of my life,” Gay said. “It’s not just about basketball. It’s about me personally, too.”
“It’s easy for people to be there for you when you’re up. She’s been there since I didn’t have a (driver’s) license. She was driving me to practices,” Gay said. “When I didn’t have money, we shared. It’s time. She’s the one.”
