Although I think ‘American Idol’ is on it’s last leg and are hoping Mariah Carey, Nicki Minaj, and their beef will help ratings, I do agree that a Nicki/Mariah duet would be a great look for the show. In my opinion, some of Mariah’s greatest collabs are with rappers such as Jay-Z and ODB and I think that Mariah and Nicki could make a dope track together. Nicki recently said that she thinks a duet would be great and Mariah’s hubby Nicki Cannon agrees! Nick also said that even without a duet with Nicki, Mariah will be performing on the show being she has an album coming up. Read more below.

Nick Cannon on the duet:
“I’m pretty sure they could figure that out,” Cannon told us while promoting tomorrow night’s TeenNick HALO Awards (airing Monday at 8 p.m. on Nickleodeon) in Hollywood. “They could definitely do that. Why not? People love that stuff.”
Nick on Mariah performing on ‘Idol’:
“She got a new album coming out,” he dished. “I’m pretty sure they’ll figure that out. That’s probably part of the whole thing, she’s going to get out there and promote her new music.”
