Shannen Doherty is such a caring individual. She has fans that are ‘DIE-HARD” (pun intended). Sunday night a fan, via Shannen’s twitter page threatened to kill herself is she didn’t recieve a call from her. Instead of just calling the woman she called the Westampton Township Police Department in Jersey. Shannen who was in L.A. at the time was able to get the address of the woman and then passed the information on to police. Police then went and checked on the 27 year old woman who was in her room. A search was conduted and they didn’t find anything out of the norm. The woman said that she wasn’t planning on commiting suicide. Since she declined medical attention, the police went on their way. Sources close to Shannen tell TMZ … the actress had reason to believe the fan was in possession of a gun.
According to the WTPD, Shannen was able to get the fan to reveal her address … and cops were immediately dispatched to the woman’s home.
Once police arrived, the officers met with family members who said the person of interest was a 27-year-old woman who was at home in her room.
Cops spoke with the woman … who insisted she did not wish to harm herself. Cops also say they found nothing that would lead them to believe she was a danger to herself.
The woman was offered medical attention — which she declined — and cops left the scene after determining she was safe in the care of her family.
Shannen later posted a message on Twitter, “Thank you to the Westampton police department for being diligent and so reassuring.”
