After being newly reelected, President Barack Obama got emotional when he thanked all the volunteers and members of his campaign staff for all their hard work. “What you guys have done means that the work that I’m doing is important. And I’m really proud of that. I’m really proud of all of you,” he told them, right before he shed a tear. This 5 minute video is the speech from the day after he won re-election. See the emotional video below.
Rare for Obama, he actually showed signs of emotion with his campaign team. During his 5 minute remarks, he was just so choked up and proud of all they’ve done for him.
One of the touching things he said:
“Even before last night’s results, I felt that the work I had done in running for office had come full circle. Because what you guys have done means that the work I am doing is important. And I’m really proud of that. I’m really proud of you”
At the end of his brief speech to the young crowd, he let them know what they had done would go down in the history books!
