First New Jersey, now NY & LI! The long lines in NY & LI are getting really back (like back in the 70’s!), so Mayor Bloomberg announced that he is enforcing the odd/even gas rationing system. Find out when it starts and the rest of the details below!
Beginning at 6 AM, anyone with license plates ending in an odd number or if you have no numbers in your license plate (you will be considered odd) will be able to buy gas on odd numbered days.
Example, tomorrow is November 9th, which is an odd number day, those plates ending in 1, 3, 5, 7, 9 can get gas. And vice versa.
Emergency vehicles, buses and paratransit vehicles, Commercial vehicles, Medical Doctor plates/vehicles licensed by the Taxi and Limousine Commission are exempt from the rule.
