By the end of the month Bus riders in the Bronx area will be able to receive the times on their smart phones or check the accurate times for MTA Bus Lines. It will have a visual interactive map so passengers to see the where-abouts of the bus in route.
This is very exciting for all of us in the Bronx,” said City Councilman James Vacca, chairman of the Transportation Committee.
Bus Time was launched on the B63 in Brooklyn in February 2011 as a pilot program.
By the end of next year, a bus rider anywhere in the city will be able to use MTA Bus Time, according to Craig Stewart, senior corporate management officer at the NYC Transit division.
