A man got his leg severed after a statue he was cleaning fell on his leg. He prayed to this statue everyday while his wife was recovering from cancer and ironically the same statue caused him harm. He offered to clean it , but says that only one screw held the statue in its place so he is now suing the church.
However, as he scrubbed the heavy marble object it fell off its shaky pedestal and landed on his leg, the Mid-Hudson News Network reported.
The pizza parlor employee is now suing the church for $3million, claiming the priest who gave him permission to work on the unstable statue was negligent.
