The divisional rivalry is heating up between the New York Jets and the Miami Dolphins. Sunday they’ll face off on the field but until then the war of words have gotten serious. Earlier this season Reggie Bush said Darrelle Revis’ season ending ACL injury against the Dolphins was karma. Jets’ CB Antonio Cromartie definitely didn’t like those comments and fired back. “I don’t give a —-,” Cromartie said about Bush, the Miami tailback, before the veteran defensive back refrained from detonating full force. “I ain’t going to say what I really want to say about Reggie Bush. For him to come out and say something like that, it’s unprofessional, and not showing any sportsmanship at all.”
“To me, there’s no such thing as karma. It was a freak accident,” Cromartie said of Revis’ injury. “No one touched him. He turned his knee the wrong way. It’s football.” Cromartie added that he could “really could care less” about Bush’s comments.
“You can’t get into the back and forth. You just got to go out and play, let your words speak in between the lines. That’s what I’m all about this year. Make sure I play the right way, within the rules,” Cromartie said.
I expect the game to be extremely physical. Aside from the personal jabs, positioning of the AFC East is also at stake. The Dolphins are 3-3 (.500) and the Jets are 3-4 (.429) for second and third place.
