Three Catholic priests have been kidnapped in the Congo. The three priests were taken from their East Congo monastery by about 10 gunmen on Saturday night. Authorities are scrambling to find the Holy men, especially since a doctor was taken from the same area last year and was never found. So far there is no word as to why the priests were taken. Omar Kavota, the Vice President of the North Kivu civil society, said the abductions took place in Beni, north of Goma, in North Kivu province.
The three, identified as Wasukudi Anselm, 41, Jean Ndulani, 52, and Edmond Kisughu, 53, were tied up and taken away by the armed men, who witnesses say spoke Swahili.
