Now I know why NY is the best city in the world. Photos like this really accentuates how beautiful the city is. Check out some beautiful flicks of NYC after the jump..
These stunning photographs capture a dramatically different perspective on New York City as it is seen from beneath a blanket of fog. Shrouded in thick clouds, the city’s skyscrapers were only partially visible on Friday, as the uppermost peaks of the tallest ones disappeared up into the low-hanging fog.
Among the most impressive photos are those of the Statue of Liberty, poking out above the cloud, as though floating in the sky. Others, of One World Trade Centre, go the other way, with the base visible but the top floors cut off by the fog. Shot from below, at a steep upwards angle, the images portray an atmosphere of foreboding and the semi-completed building appears more mysterious than ever. It’s as though the tower, that earlier this year became New York’s tallest building, could go on forever. In a photograph of the Goldman Sachs building, fog slices through it, making it look as though it has been cut in two, the top section hanging in the air.
