Of course it was a Cowboys jersey that caused this.  SMH.  There’s nothing wrong with some good trash talk, but stabbing someone?  C’mon B.

Police say a stabbing near Candlestick Park before the San Francisco 49ers’ home game against the New York Giants on Sunday was sparked by an opposing team’s jersey.

Police Sgt. Michael Andraychak said Monday that a verbal altercation between an Elk Grove man and two San Francisco men escalated into a physical confrontation because the Elk Grove man was wearing a Dallas Cowboys jersey.

Andraychak said 22-year-old Kristopher Viana tried to stab two other people, then stabbed the victim.

Then, according to police, the second man, 30-year-old Alexandro Arguelles, punched at least one person as the two suspects ran from the area.

Viana and Arguelles were arrested after witnesses called police.

Both suspects have been booked on assault with a deadly weapon and other charges.

Police say the victim’s injuries now are considered non-life threatening. His name hasn’t been released.
