I am not sure what not being “that ” skinny means , since our society really determines what is perceived fat, skinny, normal etc … Anyway Karl Lagerfeld, the designer behind Chanel is getting all sorts of criticism for saying that models actually aren’t “that” skinny, ok Karl so what are they then? I’ve been behind the scenes in New York Fashion week helping these models change and from experience I can’t imagine who can be skinnier. He has also received a lot of backlash for calling Adele fat and saying that in the future it may be okay for women to be fat, but right now it isn’t. What do you think about his comments?

He said that in the future it would ‘unfortunately’ be ‘OK’ for women to be fat, but that at the moment it was unacceptable.
He went on to call the subject ‘ridiculous’ and said: ‘The story with anorexic girls – nobody works with anorexic girls. That has nothing to do with fashion. People who have that, they have problem with family and things like this.
‘There are less than 1 per cent of anorexic girls, but there are over – in France, I don’t know about England – over 30 per cent of girls who are big, big, overweight.’
He added: ‘The models are skinny but they’re not that skinny. All the new girls are not that skinny. You know, there’s a new evolution.’
The comments come as Chanel’s Little Black Jacket exhibition landed in London last night.
