A concerned neighbor alerted police in Chester, Pa. to the video Thursday and law enforcement mobilized a dragnet for the six girls seen on the recording.
Four girls, between the ages of 16 and 17, were arrested Friday and charged with aggravated assault, reckless endangerment, burglary and harassment. Two other girls were later found and arrested.
The assault occurred Tuesday night. The pack of girls, around the age of 16, approached a woman sitting on the front steps of her Chester home and begin to smack and punch her, also using a shoe and a chair as weapons. “I’m gonna f— this b—- up,” one girl announces. The attack was caught on a surveillance camera at a nearby convenience store.
The 48-year-old mentally challenged victim tried to escape into her home, but the girls followed, and the beating continued. One girl filmed the attack on a handheld device.
The obscenity-laced video was posted on Facebook in an effort to boast about the attack, police said.
The victim, who hasn’t been identified, didn’t go to the police, but did seek medical treatment.
