After leading the first fourth-quarter comeback of his career, a flawless drive down the field against a stout Tampa Bay defense, Robert Griffin III sat down on the concrete interior of Raymond James Stadium to Griffin with an adoring fan.
The fan has an athletic pedigree of her own. It was Kellie Wells, a hurdler who won a bronze medal at the London Olympics this summer. She and some fellow Olympians were at the game in Tampa, ran into RGIII in the hallway and asked him to sit for a picture featuring his signature pose. Griffin, a former hurdling star, himself, was happy to comply after leading the Washington Redskins back for a thrilling 24-22 victory.
CSN Washington had brief video of the encounter (via DC Sports Bog).
He and Wells then posed for a more traditional picture, just a couple of hurdlers celebrating the exploits of a newly-minted NFL star.
