Lil Wayne is now the solo artist king of the Billboard Hot 100 charts, knocking The King of Rock and Roll out of the top spot.
Billboard reports that the rapper has tallied 109 hits on the Hot 100, setting a new standard – and surpassing the record previously held by Elvis Presley.
Since the chart’s start in 1958 through 2003, Presley racked up 108 entries on the Hot 100.
But thanks to Weezy’s appearance alongside Chris Brown, Tyga and Wiz Khalifa on The Game’s “Celebration,” which is cruising at No. 82 on the chart, the Young Money/Cash Money talent is the new solo artist to beat.
While Wayne holds the top spot for a solo act with the most entries on the Hot 100, the “Glee” crew as a unit has amassed 204 entries on the chart.
We suppose that’s just one more goal for Weezy to reach for.
