Even though we’d love to see the diva battle between new American Idol judges Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey that the rumor mill says they’re having, apparently we won’t get much aside from the first episode. Reportedly the pair were going at it while taping, with Mariah constantly interrupting Nicki while she was critiquing the Idol wannabes. Though this originally stemmed from the fact Mariah [allegedly] wanted to be the only super-famous female judge, this was [allegedly] fueled by Nicki being 45 minutes late to start that day. But according to TMZ‘s “sources,” this is all water under the bridge now. Details below.
Mariah Carey pulled Nicki Minaj aside yesterday and convinced her … feuding would not be good for the show, and they both needed to stop the antics they pulled during Sunday’s auditions.
Mariah buttonholed Nicki and the 2 agreed … a feud wouldn’t be good for the show, so they buried the hatchet and walked down the hall smiling, hand-in-hand.
