Leave it to a good friend to get the truth out of Eva Longoria.
In the wake of recent speculation that the former Desperate Housewives star has been romancing New York Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez, Extra cohost Mario Lopez didn’t hesitate to pry when the actress appeared on his show Thursday.
“You’re an a–hole,” Longoria joked when her longtime pal inquired about the rumored relationship. “No, Mark and I are, you know, fine,” she quickly added. “We’re happy just dating.”
The new romance comes on the heels of Longoria’s split from Eduardo Cruz in June. The two had begun seeing each other back in February of last year, just months after Longoria ended her marriage to NBA player Tony Parker.
Sanchez, meanwhile, has been romantically linked to Hayden Panettiere, Jamie-Lynn Sigler and, most recently, 2012 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue cover girl Kate Upton.
