“When you look at both fashion heritage and trends, sneakers increasingly deserve their place in Fashion Week,” says Shoe Week’s Co-Founder/CEO, Paul Farkas. Farkas adds, “This is true from progressive global sneakerhead and Hip-Hop culture, to the remarkable demand for the latest athlete and celebrity-collaboration sneakers, and the trending luxury sportswear affluencers need for the nightlife scene. Demand has never been higher and new collaborations are consistently announced with sneakers as a versatile canvas for all sorts of expression.”
HOT 97 VP of Digital Programming and Entertainment Lin Dai adds, “Sneakers and Fashion are a major part of Hip Hop culture. Sneaker Sessions during Fashion Week is a celebration of our culture and the creative expression of the lifestyle. HOT 97 TV is excited to be the digital and mobile platform to bring unique and original programming experiences like this to our audience.”

This progression should be celebrated.”
