Walmart is testing out a new app that would speed up iPhone users shopping experience while shopping. The service is called “Scan & Go” , at the moment Walmart is testing the app in Arkansas. Sounds like this app needs a green light before Xmas.
We are conducting a study to assess the usability of the Walmart iPhoneapp’s new Scan & Go feature. Scan & Go enables you to scan products with your phone and bag them while shopping in Walmart retail store, and then use the Self-checkout at the front of the store. This survey includes questions to help us determine if you qualify for an interview session. We are simply trying to get feedback from real people on whether this new system is user-friendly, and we think you will find participating in this study fun!
The survey was conducted earlier last week, and participants were compensated with a $100 payment and a $25 Walmart gift card. The news also came from the heels of the retail giant’s report that it will add more self-checkout lanes at its Walmart and Sam’s Club stores, as it continues to search for ways to lower costs and prices for its shoppers. As the company’s spokesman David Tovar pointed out:
We’re continually testing new and innovative ways to serve customers and enhance the shopping experience in our stores.
